"You may train for a long time, but if you merely move your hands and feet and jump up and down like a puppet, learning karate is not very different from learning a dance. You will never have reached the heart of the matter; you will have failed to grasp the quintessence of karate-do.”

(Gichin Funakoshi. Founder of Shotokan karate)

Our point? Do not swallow the hype swirling around KB’s. Dig deeper. It is more than just “the moves.” There is much, MUCH more to this discipline. With KBC you will begin learning the “why’s” behind the “how’s” and you will do so safely and effectively with science and research needed to back it up.

KBC’s CEC/U-approved instructor trainings are structured in an evolving, multi-tiered format. Our Online Foundations and Level 1, live 2-day courses are just the tip of the iceberg. With ongoing education, training, practice, time and patience, you will become fantastic with KB’s!

Most importantly you will be able to effectively aid your clients in getting to where they need to be... and you will know WHY you are doing what you are doing. Designed specifically for the fitness professional, our multi-tiered programming offers kettlebell training for Performance and Health, Mind/Body Practitioners and Group Fitness Instructors.

Interested in hosting KBC at your facility? We look forward to working with you. The process is a simple one:

  • Fill out this form as soon as possible
  • Call 800-876-6090 x711 to confirm availability
  • Start working immediately with KBC to market and promote the training. We recommend leaving at least a minimum of two to three months to promote the training

FAQ:  Will there be kettlebells at the course for me to use?

Answer: The host facility only orders enough KB's for their own individual needs. We cannot guarantee that there will be one kettlebell per every registrant. KBC does not bring extra bells to teacher trainings so we suggest you consider purchasing a KB prior to attending the training.

FAQ:What is "auditing" a course?

Answer: For those fitness enthusiasts who wish to learn more about KB's to train themselves, we will give non-fitness professionals the opportunity to audit the course. This is a chance to fine tune your KB technique and learn to safely and effectively design your own beginner program!

KBC offers the audit option for a lower rate for non-fitness professionals. Because the course is taught in the language of science, there will be a good deal of technical lingo and academic knowledge that non-professionals might miss. (But don't worry, we don't expect you to get everything and at least you don't have to take a test at the end!) :)

  • Auditing students: Please understand that no certificates will be given, no continuing education credits issued and you will not be recognized nor recommended in any way, as a "Kettlebell Instructor." (It will take more than a weekend course to turn you into a qualified teacher, nor is it ethically responsible for KBC to recommend a person with no professional experience or training as a qualified instructor).

KBC feels it is wrong to exclude fitness enthusiasts from this kind of training if they simply wish to get the basics. However, we feel it is just as wrong to subsequently recommend them as instructors.

We strongly urge auditing students NOT to teach the technique to others in any way, shape or form. Like any other allied health professional, fitness professionals spend many, many years acquiring their skills and keeping up to date with the latest developments. There is a great deal more involved than just teaching someone basic kettlebell techniques.
