KBC Master Instructors are authorized to lead certain KBC instructor trainings and are indicated by the Master Instructor Icon. If your Master Instructor is not listed below, he or she was not trained by KBC.

Founder of Movement First. Chris is a Health and Fitness Coach who has been in the fitness and wellness industry since 1988. Specializing in functional movement, sports performance, injury prevention, post-rehabilitation and weight and lifestyle management, Chris has worked with and consulted clients of all levels and goals.

After 10 years of working in commercial fitness clubs as an educator to fitness professionals and a master trainer to clients, Chris created Movement First, a name and a company that embodies the philosophy of his training and teachings. Since 2007, Chris, lead by the Movement First philosophy, has brought his teaching and practice success to new heights, presenting and lecturing across the United States and across the globe.


In addition to creating and teaching his own courses, Chris is an Adjunct Professor at Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the Athletic Training, Health and Exercise Science Division (www.athes.org). Chris is also a Master Instructor for the American Council on Exercise (ACE), Functional Movement Systems (FMS) and TRX Suspension Training.


Chris' unique and intuitive teaching style has landed him the respect of top fitness  and wellness companies in the US and abroad, consulting and educating for IDEA Fitness, CanFit Pro (Canada), Club Industry, NEHRSA, Asia Fit, The Hospital for Special Surgery (NYC), EA Sports Active, Reebok, Sports Club LA and numerous others.  


Chris earned his Bachelors of Science in Health Education at Western Connecticut State University and his Masters of Science in Exercise Science – Sports Performance and Injury Prevention at California University of Pennsylvania.
