Ben has helped more than as thousand individuals – from young athletes, to the “average Joe” and everyone in between - work towards achieving their health, fitness and performance goals as a trainer, coach, educator and mentor.
He obtained his first personal training certification in 2000, a Master’s of Science in Education (specializing in Physical Education/Sports Management) from Northern Illinois University in 2001, and immediately began working in the fitness industry full time. In 2003, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and more recently, became TRX Small Group Training Certified.
Ben is extremely passionate about changing people’s lives through fitness, performance training & nutrition coaching and considers himself a lifelong learner. He is currently working towards obtaining a Nutritional Certification through Precision Nutrition. He also believes it is critical to ‘practice what you preach’ and stays committed to an active and healthy lifestyle that includes sports, powerlifting, athletic conditioning, suspension training and kettlebell training. His overall training philosophy is to keep things simple, safe, functional, progressive, practical, efficient, effective, engaging and 100% tailored to the individual’s goals and needs.
Ben owns and operates his independent Personal Training & Fitness Consulting business, elev8 Fitness Consulting, just outside of Milwaukee, WI, where he offers one-on-one & small-group training, as well as innovative boot-camps and online coaching.
